The Dutton Bits OC 05-1 features a 5" high port mouthpiece with copper inlay along the back side of the bars. The copper helps encourage salivation and acceptance of the bit, while the port provides tongue relief and increases communication through the bars and palate as rein pressure is applied.
The 7" cheek features a 2 3/4" purchase and 3 3/4" shank, providing increased leverage and a more refined signal than a direct-action bit. This makes the OC 05-1 a good option for experienced riders and more finished horses that already understand collection, neck reining, and curb pressure.
